When Johan Mjällby met A Celtic State of Mind in Glasgow!

Johan Mjällby joined A Celtic State of Mind recently for a live event like no other at Grace’s in Glasgow, and fans flocked to meet the former Celtic hero.

Johan joined Paul John Dykes on stage to discuss his time at Celtic, and the sold-out crowd were served up plenty of laughs, emotion and insight.

It was Jozef Vengloš who signed the Swedish international for Celtic in 1998, but it wasn’t until the arrival of Martin O’Neill two years later that Mjällby truly enjoyed success in Glasgow.

Mjällby won three leagues, two League Cups and two Scottish Cups in the hoops, and he was also part of Martin O’Neill’s side who reached the 2003 UEFA Cup final, where they were narrowly defeated 3-2 by Porto.

The powerful defender was to return to Celtic in 2010 as part of Neil Lennon’s backroom team, where he won another three leagues and two Scottish Cups.

On the night that Johan came back to town, Will McGregor was on-hand to capture some stunning images of Big Dolph:
