When PIERRE VAN HOOIJDONK, JORGE CADETE & JOHN COLLINS met A Celtic State of Mind in Glasgow!

A trio of ex-Celts joined A Celtic State of Mind recently for a live event like no other at Don Mac’s in Glasgow, and fans flocked to meet their former Celtic heroes.

Pierre van Hooijdonk, Jorge Cadete and John Collins all joined Paul John Dykes on stage to discuss their spells at Celtic, and the sold-out crowd were served up plenty of laughs, emotion and insight.

John Collins signed for Celtic under Billy McNeill in 1990, but had to wait five years to taste success with the Parkhead side.

When it came in the Scottish Cup final, it was Dutchman Pierre van Hooijdonk who scored the winning goal against Airdrie at Hampden.

The following year, Jorge Cadete was signed from Sporting Lisbon by Tommy Burns. In 49 appearances, the Portuguese international scored 38 times from open play on his way to becoming a fans’ favourite.

On the night that Pierre, Cadete and Collins came to town, the Icon team were on-hand to capture some stunning images of the former Hoops trio:
