Celtic 3-0 Airdrieonians

Celtic made a return to competitive action after the winter break with a Saturday night clash in the Scottish Cup. After being denied from the penalty spot, Scott Sinclair eventually opened the scoring for the defending cup holders with a simple tap in.

It was again the right man at the right place ten minutes after the interval when Sinclair doubled his tally for the day. New January signing Timothy Weah replaced the Englishman and scored on his debut to round off a good performance.

Celtic 4-0 St Mirren

The league campaign was restarted at Celtic Park with the visit of St Mirren. A fantastic ball into the box from Ryan Christie was converted by Oliver Burke to bag his first goal in the hoops to open the scoring.

Shortly after this, Sinclair made it 3 goals in 2 matches when he fired the ball past Vaclav Hladky from twelve yards to score his twelfth goal of the season.

The new additions to the squad seemed to be settling in well, with Burke and Weah then making it 2 goals apiece each since signing in January.
