The collection of the late Stevie Chalmers sparked off worldwide interest last week at McTear’s Auctioneers in Glasgow.
Bids arrived from China, Italy, Spain and Canada for a stunning array of Stevie’s match-worn and swapped jerseys, pennants, boots, medals, programmes and iconic numbered shorts.
Some items went for huge sums, whilst other bids failed to meet the reserves on an afternoon that had collectors and aficionados flocking to the highly-esteemed auction house.
A Celtic State of Mind were successful in adding eight lots to our collection and we will be providing a closer look at these this week. In the meantime, here is our take on last week:
